You don't need them when the spawn like at THK are spread out only at the end of the mission flame work really well with the Mursaat.Traps are easily interrupted as well bu they go good in the UW.

Just bring a blocking stance if you're gonna trap. Escape is my elite.

And setting up a trap only takes 2 seconds. Have the warrior hold aggro, sneak in, and BAM you got multiple enemies poisoned, bleeding, crippled, blind, dazed, knocked down, or burning. I bring 4 traps. Laying one down correctly spreads conditions faster than Apply+auto attack. A good tactic to note down is to set all of the traps in one spot only if it's a boss, there are no other foes around, or if you're gonna pull. One of the worst feelings a player can get is to feel useless when you're needed. Just be smart about knowing where and when to set them.

I trap with Henchies in NM PvE for quests and the AI is too stupid to notice a ranger setting up a trap next to them. By the time they notice, i'm out of there, and i get to see the pretty animations of a job well done.

All you gotta do is wait in the back, then strike at the ideal moment, much like an assassin.
